I build and run infrastructure — for work, and for the fun of it. More →

I’d rather understand a system than just make it work.

How I Approach Things

1.

Explore

Understand how something actually works before deciding how to fix or build it.

2.

Build

Put together systems that are reliable rather than clever.

3.

Automate

If it happens twice, it shouldn’t need me a third time.

A Few Traits

A few things that are generally true.

Systems Thinking

Comfortable moving between the big picture and the fine print.

Automation-First

If it can run itself, it should.

Always Tinkering

There’s usually something running in the background here too.

About

I work in infrastructure — the kind of work that mostly succeeds by staying invisible.

Outside of that, I keep a small setup of my own running at home, partly for the practice and partly because I like understanding the whole stack, not just my corner of it. This page is a stand-in for a proper introduction — get in touch if you’d like one.
